Christmas is right around the corner and the question arises… What do I put in my toddlers stocking? The stress seeps in and you’re in no mood to scan the internet for hours in search of a gift for toddlers that is small enough, safe enough, and fun enough for your little one(s). These 36 gift ideas for stocking stuffers are great for toddlers and kids ages 1-6 years old (even older). Children are so simple to entertain; they are happy with some dirt from the yard. You can literally stick some rocks and sticks in a bag and put a nice ribbon around it or wrap them individually and call it a day. They would be just as happy. I promise. But if you’re looking for something a little more sophisticated, here are a few good ideas for stocking stuffers for toddlers instead of candy that you can’t go wrong with and are kid approved (my kids and I absolutely love them).

Final Thoughts On Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Toddlers
Although, I’ve listed some of our favorites above, there are so many more options. Some basics are, stickers, crayons, books, kinetic sand, paint, peel and stick tattoos, cars, dolls, dinosaurs, socks, shirts, hair accessories, and much more. Basically anything small enough to fit inside the stocking without being too small. We shy away from any choking hazards or toys with small batteries that are easily accessible.
Fun eating utensils are always a big hit and great because they’re used often. I have a whole post on fun eating utensils that children love and the benefits of using them.
Some great places, other than online, to find affordable stocking stuffers are the Dollar Tree, Target’s dollar section, Walmart, Marshals, and TJ Maxx. I love going to the The World Market to find unique and delicious snacks and treats to put inside stockings as well. Thrifting is my obsession! I honestly don’t even buy books anywhere other than thrift stores unless it’s a specific ones such as personalized books or one that caught my eye and isn’t easily found. You can find plenty of brand new items or like new items for gifting. I really recommend going to the thrift store to find books, toys, and clothes for your little ones if you want to shop sustainably or are on a budget. I hope I helped soothe some stress from this holiday season with some ideas and suggestions for your children.
Wishing everyone a great holiday season!
